Choosing to confront the more prominent “ghosts” in his life, Eric’s relationship with Annie Brown has left deep and long lasting psychological scars. With his life in disarray, Eric’s research attracts the attention of a underground international organization believing his research could ruin their financial operation. Erin, Jill and two professors struggle to manipulate Eric while offering a temporary alternative to his assassination. With all of his relationships in question, there will be no peace until Eric reveals the truth and accepts the terms for the reincarnation of Annie Brown.

What an amazing story! This is the best story I have read in the last year! I loved it and you will too!
Mr. Mitchell has written a story that takes you into the minds of an interesting and varied group of characters, all seem to have sinister intentions toward Eric.
Eric is a semi-lost 20 something, freshly graduated from college, he has found a way to make steady money off the bond market.
Erin is in school and seems to have a penchant for depressing poetry, but the rest of her life seems quite normal; though rather mysterious.
Jill is a borderline genius in chemistry and working for Professor Whitehurst. She spends a lot of her free time with Eric, when her fiancé Gary is not in town. Gary, a computer genius, is also Eric’s roommate.
There is a congressman, an international financier, and other shady characters.
There is some flitting into the past to gather back story, but most of the book centers around a four-day weekend at a corporate-style retreat in the Northeastern United States. This is where the real fun gets off the ground. Layers of honesty are being peeled back to reveal apparently nefarious intentions. Eric is asking himself several times, who can I trust?
He loves Jill and Erin; Gary was his roommate; but they all seem to have deceived him in the past and continue to do so. He also has a ghost in his past that has him tied in knots at times.
This is some of the most interesting dialogue and scenery I have seen in a long time!
It has conspiracy theory, racy moments, philosophy, economics and veiled threats abound.
Such a great story and so well written, 4.7 stars out of 5! I might read it again.
