Multi-volume and multi-genre author Wayne Kerr introduces us to Framed:
Her life was picture perfect…until she was framed for murder.

After surviving ten brutal years in prison for a murder she didn’t commit, former Toronto homicide detective Reggie Swann is released, thanks to her tenacious mother, a new forensic test, and a clever lawyer. But she quickly discovers getting her old life back will be next to impossible. The Toronto Police Service doesn’t want her, Reggie’s husband has remarried, and the real killer is still out there.

Clearing her name and finding the real murderer is Reggie’s number one priority. However, as a favor to the man who got her conviction overturned, she reluctantly agrees to help with a separate investigation in her hometown of Penticton, British Columbia. Wealthy socialite Amy Connelly is missing, after a very public argument with her husband. Blood is found in their kitchen and on the deck of their yacht. This leads to one obvious conclusion: Stan Connelly killed his wife and dumped her body in Lake Okanagan. Or did he?

Is it possible Reggie’s two cases, which span a decade and five provinces, are related?

I love this book and I love Wayne’s writing! The suspense made me sweat many times. I promise no spoilers, but it is so hard this time.
The action is fabulous! The first fight scene is brutal! Wayne really knows how to set the scene, he doesn’t go overboard with a lot of extra words. Just the right amount. Dialog is very believable; all the characters play their roles in consummate fashion. He has mastered First Person POV. I love this kind of writing.
Wayne kept me guessing the whole way. I loved the entire book. I am happy to say a sequel is in the works.
Framed deserves 5 of 5 stars!

Author Arthur David introduces Agents of the Third Party: The Beginning:
The Third Party is a secret organization dedicated to moving humanity towards a future of peace and prosperity. A future where hunger, poverty, and war no longer exist. An organization so dedicated to its ideals that it is made up of spies, saboteurs and assassins for whom the ends justify the means, no matter how atrocious.

BlackMail has spent her entire adult life dedicated to the cause of The Party. She has lived her life knowing that she is working for the greater good of humanity and the world, and it doesn't matter how they achieve that.

Her dedication has made her one of The Party’s top agents, and The Party has tasked her with training a young woman, Jade, who they believe will become The Party’s next top agent.

When The Party sends them on a mission that goes horribly wrong it will forever change BlackMail, Jade, and The Third Party.

I reveled in this book. The action is lucidly described. The writing is clear and concise. Arthur could have brought a lot more description in but that would have weighed the story down and the action would have suffered greatly. He maintained First Person POV very well. I love the settings, the world creation, and the dialog, it is a very believable scenario on many levels.
The only thing I didn’t like were the spelling errors, a handful of them interrupted the pure pleasure of reading. Agents of the Third Party receives a score of 4.6 of 5.

Cut-Throat Syndrome                                               By Michael Allan Scott

Multi-volume author Michael Allan Scott introduces us to Cut-Throat Syndrome: a Lance Underphal mystery:
Cut-Throat Syndrome is part of a new breed of supernatural thrillers, the latest addition to the murder mystery and thriller series featured on NBC's Daytime, highlighting the reluctant psychic, Lance Underphal and his dead wife, Sonja.
When a drone packed with explosives flies into the jet engine of a Chinese airliner, an anonymous hacker cult pirates a live news broadcast to claim responsibility, forcing Lance to help out.
Lance's visions lead Detective Frank Salmon to the headless corpse of an unidentified teenager and PI Jake Jacobs to a CIA informant gone rogue on the Dark Web.
Tangled in international intrigue, this is one of those dark adventures that delves into a disturbing world a little too close for comfort. Not for the faint of heart, it will keep you guessing until the end.
Looking for a new breed of supernatural thrillers? Paranormal mysteries of murder and suspense? Perhaps a psychic detective series which can be read and enjoyed in any order? Or maybe one of those scary books you can't put down? Regardless, the dark, disturbing novels by Indie Author, Michael Allan Scott, won't disappoint.

This is some exciting reading! I love Michael’s writing. I will also say that this may well be some of the darkest material he has brought forth. It was tough to read the torture a character went through.
My favorite character is Sonja, she is so encouraging and inscrutable at the same time, it drives Lance bonkers. Lance is not your average hero by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, he is so very average he wouldn’t qualify as a hero, except he refuses to give up, even when his survival is at stake.
Some wild plotting, superb First Person and Third Person POV, and realistic settings will give you several hours of deeply engrossing reading.
Michael has a warning in the front of the book about the explicit nature of the story. Do not take it lightly.
Cut-Throat Syndrome gets 5 of 5 stars! Such an amazing read!
